What is Zypitamag?
Zypitamag (pitavastatin) is a prescription medication used for the management of elevated cholesterol levels in certain patients. It works by reducing the amount of cholesterol produced by the liver and increasing the removal of cholesterol from the blood, thereby helping to decrease LDL cholesterol and triglycerides and increase HDL cholesterol. Zypitamag is typically prescribed when diet and exercise alone have not been enough to reduce cholesterol to desired levels.Side Effects
- Dark urine, pale stools, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, stomach pain, yellow skin or eyes
- Arm, leg, or back pain
- Unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness

- Your doctor will do lab tests at regular visits to check on the effects of this medicine. Keep all appointments.
- Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.
- It is not safe to take this medicine during pregnancy. It could harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor right away if you become pregnant.
- Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, diabetes, thyroid problems, or a history of liver disease. Tell your doctor if you drink alcohol regularly.
