What is Cardura Xl ?

Cardura XL (doxazosin mesylate) is an extended-release tablet used primarily for the treatment of hypertension and the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplastery (BPH). It functions as an alpha-blocker that relaxes the muscles in the bladder and prostate, as well as the blood vessel walls, facilitating easier urination and blood flow. Cardura XL should be taken once daily, ideally at the same time each day to maintain an even level of medication in the blood.

• New or worsening chest pain
• Lightheadedness, dizziness, or fainting
• Painful erection or an erection that lasts longer than usual
• Fast, slow, pounding, or uneven heartbeat
• Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing

• Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.
• Your doctor will check your progress and the effects of this medicine at regular visits. Keep all appointments.
• This medicine could lower your blood pressure too much, especially when you first use it or if you are dehydrated. This can make you dizzy or lightheaded. Do not drive or do anything else that could be dangerous until you know how this medicine affects you. Stand or sit up slowly if you feel lightheaded or dizzy.
• Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have liver disease, heart disease, prostate cancer, or stomach or bowel problems (such as a blockage). Tell your doctor if you plan to have cataract surgery.
