Kisqali (ribociclib) is a selective inhibitor of cyclin-dependent kinases 4 and 6 (CDK4/6), which are pivotal in the proliferation of cancer cells. It is indicated for the treatment of hormone receptor-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative advanced or metastatic breast cancer, typically in combination with an aromatase inhibitor. Warnings
- Talk with your doctor before using this medicine if you plan to have children. Some men who use this medicine have become infertile (unable to have children).
- Oral routeIt is not safe to take this medicine during pregnancy. It could harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor right away if you become pregnant. If you are a woman who can bear children, your doctor may give you a pregnancy test before you start using this medicine to make sure you are not pregnant. Women should use an effective form of birth control during treatment and for at least 3 weeks after the last dose.
- This medicine may cause the following problems:Interstitial lung disease or pneumonitis (can be life-threatening)Serious skin reactions, including Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, or drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS)Heart rhythm problem, including QT prolongationLiver problems

- This medicine may make you bleed, bruise, or get infections more easily. Take precautions to prevent illness and injury. Wash your hands often.
