What is Pentam?
Pentamidine is an antimicrobial agent primarily used in the treatment and prevention of Pneumocystis pneumonia (PCP), a common opportunistic infection in immunocompromised individuals, particularly those with HIV/AIDS. It can also be used to treat other parasitic infections like leishmaniasis and trypanosomiasis. Administered either intravenously or by inhalation, Pentamidine is noted for its ability to target organisms at various stages of their lifecycle.Side Effects

Warnings

- You may need to use a home glucose (sugar) test to check your blood sugar levels while you are taking this medicine. Make sure you understand how to do this.
