What is Unisom Sleeptabs ?

Unisom SleepTabs are an over-the-counter sleep-aid containing the antihistamine doxylamine succinate as the active ingredient. They are used to treat short-term sleep disturbances by blocking histamine receptors, thereby promoting drowsiness and facilitating sleep. Unisom SleepTabs are non-habit-forming when used as directed and are typically taken 30 minutes before bedtime to help achieve a restful night's sleep.

• Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing

• Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve or if they get worse.
• This medicine may make you dizzy or drowsy. Use the tablet only at bedtime. Avoid driving, using machines, or doing anything else that could be dangerous if you are not alert.
• Make sure your doctor knows if you or your child are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have glaucoma, breathing problems (such as emphysema or bronchitis), or problems with urination due to an enlarged prostate.
• If sleeplessness lasts longer than 2 weeks, talk to your doctor.
• You should not give the tablet to a child under 12 years of age.
• Children receiving the suspension form of this medicine tend to get more excited. Talk to your doctor if this concerns you.
