What is Zilactin?
Zilactin is an over-the-counter medication used primarily for the treatment of oral ulcers, such as canker sores and cold sores. It forms a protective barrier over the sore to reduce pain and promote healing, and its active ingredient, benzyl alcohol, offers temporary relief from discomfort. This gel is applied within the mouth directly to the ulcer and can provide relief for up to 6 hours.Side Effects

Warnings
- Avoid contact with eyes; if product gets in the eyes, rinse with water immediately

- Not recommended for children under 12 years of age without the advice of a healthcare provider
- Discontinue use and consult a healthcare provider if symptoms worsen or do not improve after 7 days of use
- Do not use if you have a history of allergic reaction to any component of the product
