Alogliptin-pioglitazone should not be used to treat type 1 diabetes. It is available to children and adults as a tablet.

- Shaking, trembling, sweating, fast or pounding heartbeat, faintness, hunger, confusion
- Large, hard skin blisters
- Blurred vision or other vision changes
