What is Rystiggo?
Rystiggo (rozanolixizumab-noli) is a monoclonal antibody medication designed to target and inhibit the neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn), which is implicated in the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases by prolonging the half-life of IgG antibodies. By reducing the levels of pathogenic IgG antibodies, Rystiggo helps to alleviate symptoms in conditions characterized by autoantibody activity. It is specifically indicated for the treatment of adult patients with generalized myasthenia gravis who are anti-acetylcholine receptor or anti-muscle-specific tyrosine kinase antibody-positive.Side Effects
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Fever, chills, cough, sore throat, body aches
- Headache, stiff neck or back, nausea, vomiting
Warnings
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have an active infection.
- This medicine may cause the following problems:Increased risk for infectionAseptic meningitis (swelling of the brain)
