¿Qué es Ciprofloxacin Hcl?

Tu médico puede recetarte ciprofloxacina si tienes una infección bacteriana. La ciprofloxacina se ha utilizado para tratar infecciones de los huesos, las articulaciones, el tracto urinario y la piel. Los médicos también han utilizado la ciprofloxacina para tratar infecciones abdominales y diarrea infecciosa. La ciprofloxacina puede administrarse por vía oral o intravenosa.

Side Effects

• Numbness, tingling, weakness, or burning pain in your hands, arms, legs, or feet
• Blistering, peeling, red skin rash
• Diarrhea which may contain blood

Warnings

• Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.
• Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, or if you have kidney disease, liver disease, diabetes, heart disease, myasthenia gravis, aortic aneurysm (bulge in the wall of the largest artery), or a history of heart rhythm problems (including prolonged QT interval), electrolyte imbalance, nerve problems, seizures, brain problems, stroke, or mental illness. Tell your doctor if you have ever had tendon or joint problems, including rheumatoid arthritis, or if you have received a transplant.
• Your doctor may tell you to stop breastfeeding, and pump and discard your breast milk during treatment and for at least 2 days after your final dose.
• This medicine may cause the following problems:Tendinitis and tendon rupture (which may happen after treatment ends)Nerve damage in the arms or legs, which may become permanentChanges in mood or behavior, seizures, or increased pressure in the headSerious skin reactionsKidney problemsLiver problemsIncreased risk of aortic aneurysmHeart rhythm changesChanges in blood sugar levels
• This medicine may make you dizzy, drowsy, or lightheaded. Do not drive or do anything else that could be dangerous until you know how this medicine affects you.
