¿Qué es Eletriptan Hydrobromide?

El hidrobromuro de eletriptán es un agonista selectivo del receptor de serotonina, específicamente dirigido al subtipo de receptor 5-HT1. Se utiliza comúnmente en el tratamiento de dolores de cabeza por migraña al promover la vasoconstricción de los vasos sanguíneos intracraneales e inhibir la liberación de neuropéptidos proinflamatorios. Este medicamento es efectivo para aliviar el dolor de cabeza, el dolor y otros síntomas de migraña.

Side Effects

• Anxiety, restlessness, fever, sweating, muscle spasms, twitching, diarrhea, seeing or hearing things that are not there
• Tightness or discomfort in your chest, neck, or jaw
• Numbness or tingling in your hands, arms, legs, or feet, color changes in your fingers or toes

Warnings

• Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or if you smoke. Tell your doctor if you have ischemic bowel disease, or a personal or family history of heart disease, heart attack, heart rhythm problems, blood circulation problems, or stroke.
• This medicine should be used only for migraine headaches. It will not work for any other kind of headache or pain.
• This medicine may cause the following problems:Higher risk for abnormal heart rhythm, heart attack, angina, or strokeSpasms in the blood vessels, including Raynaud syndromeSerotonin syndrome (more likely if used with medicine to treat depression)High blood pressure
• Your headaches may become worse if you use headache medicine for 10 or more days per month.
• This medicine may make you dizzy or drowsy. Do not drive or do anything else that could be dangerous until you know how this medicine affects you.
