Nexletol is a medication that helps lower cholesterol, a substance that can build up in your blood vessels and lead to serious health issues like heart attacks and strokes. It works by blocking the production of cholesterol in the liver, which helps keep your cholesterol levels in check. While Nexletol is effective in managing high cholesterol, it is important to remember that it does not cure the condition. You should take Nexletol exactly as your doctor prescribes, and do not stop taking it without consulting your healthcare provider. Common side effects of Nexletol may include muscle spasms, back pain, and pain in your hands or feet. If you experience any severe side effects, such as a rash, difficulty breathing, or severe joint pain, you should contact your doctor immediately. Additionally, it is essential to follow any dietary recommendations from your doctor, such as eating a low-fat, low-cholesterol diet, to help manage your cholesterol levels effectively. Always discuss any other medications you are taking with your healthcare provider to avoid potential interactions. Your prescriber will determine the right dose for you, so be sure to follow their instructions carefully.
