- Do not stop using this medicine suddenly. Your doctor will need to slowly decrease your dose before you stop it completely.

Brisdelle belongs to a group of drugs called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI) and comes in capsule form. It is used to treat moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms and hot flashes associated with menopause. Before you start this medicine, tell your doctor if you have problems with your liver or kidney, issues with seizures or low sodium levels in your blood. The most common side effects include headache, tiredness and nausea.
